My official weight loss log in in is Friday. But, I had weighed myself on Monday morning and lost two pounds. That is probably due to water though and not actual pounds, but I’ll take what I can get. ^^;
I hit the gym Monday and due to having to do an online class on my phone wound up with thirty minutes on the treadmill. I had done twenty minutes on the elliptical. That means I had a total of fifty minutes of gym time on Monday. I was going to go again yesterday and just walk on the treadmill, but I was too tired and I decided to keep it to three days a week as planned. Because you can go through a burn out when you start up a new exercise habit. All though I want to keep Friday open for other stuff so I might also hit the gym tomorrow as well. We all know I’ll tell myself I’ll go Saturday early in the morning, but I never do because that habit got broken. This I need to rectify as soon as possible because I miss my early morning runs on Saturday. I want to get in my three workout days during the week and if I feel like another and getting up 6am for it on a Saturday then I should do it.
I want to lost twenty pounds before July 4th and I am going to stick to this goal. I am going on another trip vacation to L.A. with my boyfriend for a convention, and I heard the space is even bigger than the convention I just went to in Anaheim. I want to be in tip top shape for walking around and hopefully having lots of energy for it. I have been caffeine free for a long while now, because of a medication I take it’s not a good idea. This is going to be really exciting and I’ll try not to ingest any caffeine….but I make no promises. ^^;

One trick of trying to not over eat and to also start eating healthier is to trick your brain. One idea is to use smaller plates so that when you fill up that plate your brain thinks it’s eating a lot of food, but it isn’t and by doing that you reduce the number of calories you intake. You might want to make guidelines for what can go on that plate. For example, you probably want to outlaw fried foods, sugary foods, high carb foods, high in fat foods, and stuff. It’s your body so the best guidelines should be made by between a health professional and you.
Words about the six meals a day…
If your in a job that keeps you very busy and there is no time for a small meal or snack I suggest quick protein shakes for meal replacements. If not maybe a granola bar…? maybe? That way you trick your brain into being fed all the time. I know that I probably could do the six small meals…I just don’t like it.
Drink copious amounts of water…
This fills you up as well and makes you less hungry is another trick. Also, not only does it fill you up it cleanses your body of toxins and other things and keeps you hydrated. This is a good thing trust me. You should be taking a trip to the bathroom at least six times a day. If you do not urinate six times a day then that’s not healthy… (Side note: If you have to go three times that amount you might want to talk to your doctor.)
And there you have it….three tricks to use on our brains without them knowing it. Okay it is your brain and it does know, but it’s more of tricking the brain through the eyes and an optical illusion thing…I dunno. But, hopefully these things work! I know the water one does and the plate one, but the six small meals does not work with me.

Do we diet to be healthy or to lose the pounds and look good? People can be vain and just want to exercise and diet to look good rather than consider their health. This could lead to many dangers though if one is not careful. I think diets are more successful if you think of them as lifestyle changes and to better your body and your health. Treat your body with love, respect, and like a temple. You can start by choosing the way you think every morning. If you change one thought a day and get more positive results by thinking positive that could lead a healthier mental state. I know easier said than done and those of you who suffer from bi polar, manic depressive disorder, or other disorders should probably talk to your doctor for a better course of action. I’m not a doctor so I can only make suggestions that could possibly work for some people. If I find the key to get better then surely it can work for others if I find it.
